Car has 40000mi

How much HP will the +20s lay down? It thought that they were only good to a little below 300HP? I would think a setup like that would call for at least +40s.

"...should go much faster now...."
talk about an understatement.
what trany are you running?
what is your race weight?
any pix of the interior?
"...ran a best of 12.81@107.5 with stock engine...."
there's no way a stock-engined glhs can go 12's.

Marcus, is this sarcasm? Maybe you're thinking by "stock engine" you think "everything stock?" Then I could understand, but I take stock engine as stock longblock, everything else is game. In that case that's very attainable, you should know!

Notice he said stock engine. Heck, for that matter, Doug Mill was running 12's more than a decade ago on a "stock engined" GLH....no "S"....

+1 If that was not the case, I wouldn't be here.:p It is my dream to run 12s in my omni with the "minimal" work that I have done to it.

of course!!!
:-)
"....you should know!.."
for sure. 12's are absolutely possible on a stock engine in a glhs.

And that is ome fantastic work on that engine bay.

went 12.81 with stock long block, turbo and intercooler on slicks with +20s and an extra injector,23-24 psi boost and 3' exhaust,1.83 short time, leaving
at 5300rpm.
Thanks to all for the compliments on our winter project.
Hoping to go 1 to 1.5 seconds quicker with the TIII.
+20s are just to break in the engine at low (16-18psi) boost, extra injector is already mounted and + 40s are laying on my bench ready for serious boost.

12's in a L-body are easy. I was running 12.6 5 years ago in my omni, and it was almost all junkyard parts on 19 lbs of boost. The only thing not factory dodge parts was the 20% injectors, fuel pump, adjustable fpr, K&N cone, centerforce clutch and some M&H slicks. It would run 12.7 and 12.6 all day long @108 and 109 mph. I ran this setup for several years and never had a problem out of it, launching on the slicks at 5600 rpms. That engine had over 100k on it when I took it out of the daytona too. Also when I was runnign the 12.6 with the 5 speed I swapped out a random auto and went from a 8.2 1/8 mile to a 7.89 1/8. It only lasted to the 1/8 mile and wouldn't shift out of second but it was a non turbo crap trans I had sitting around. Nothing like sitting on the line building boost. I'm starting on my T3 charger next weekend and I want to hit high 10's with it on a stock bottom end and I don't think that's out of the question either.

clutch is a 2500 pound dual diaphram pressure plate with a stock disk, works great and does not slip.

I couldn't even get my wife to pretend she wanted to drive the Daytonas, S/C or Spirit.
However, she's always asking to drive the Maxima...I think she's an anti-Moparite.

How is clearance of the intercooler piping over the cam sprockets?
I was thinking of going another direction, but your routing sure is a great idea! :thumb:
