So the son's car seems to have some cooling issues. Code 22, coolant temp sensor readings to low or to high, I check it with the scanner (OTC 4000E) it displays 250* to -99*. It keeps alternating between the 2 readings, I replaced it with a known good sensor, no difference. I took Mom's kitchen thermometer and hold it against the outside of the upper radiator hose and get a reading of 140*.

Do you think the scanner is displaying the 2 readings this way because it isn't getting any input data?

So I don't believe the car is overheating, but, I'd like to get these little issues straightened out before we head to the dyno and then the track. My son is dying to test the high boost setting!

Do you guys have any suggestions?

Guy

If its an aftermarket cal, you have to try another engine setting, or try another year. Then it should work just fine.
