i just pulled out my hyperutectic pistons out of my car they are +.040 and they measure 3.479. i have a set of forged wisecos that are supposed to be +.040 they measure out at 3.476, they are .003 smaller when i put them in my block they seem small i can rock them in the bores alot more than i remember being able to rock the old ones. is this normal because they expand more than the hyperutectics or is this gonna cause problems? the bore i havn't measured yet but it was bored out fairly recently and there is no ridge so i don't think its worn out.

my bore measures 3.486 about halfway down so that leaves me with .010 piston to bore clearance is that too much or will this be okay? this motor will not see many miles and it will mainly be a track vehicle. after this season i'm building up a hybrid motor so if this motor lasts the season i will be happy

Thats too much. Venolia's want .007", Wiseco calls for .004"

Are you sure its .010"?

Bring it down and have Rob double check it.

If not, I have a few blocks you could get bored out, :thumb:
