Finally got a race in the GTS after turning the boost up. Was out cruising around and a newer gp rolled up. We were side by side at about 25mph and I shifted down into 2nd to see if they wanted to play. Sure enough they get on it, at first they pull on me and then my turbo finally spools and I take off. As soon as I hit 19psi I start catching up quick. I let off at 55 and they were a good car length back. Now I know it said GT on the back but I'm damn sure that was a L67 car(supercharged).

Oh and also had a little run in with one of iTurbo's buddy's old turbo dodge cars. It was a 90 or so Shadow. I believe it is the same T2 engine but an automatic. We didn't get any real good runs but he sure spooled alot faster then me. Wish we coulda got a light cause I remember at the dyno meet both that car and the lebaron were pretty close. (this of course was before the gts was at 19psi)

Grand Prix Gt's are pretty quick also. They run about 15.7-15.9@87-89mph. My mom has a 2003 Buick Lesaber with the 3800 II in it and it would probably take my Spirit Rt off the line for a bit but for some reason I don't think I'll ever find out, lol.

No this is a newer gp(06 I believe) and they got rid of the gtp model and gave the supercharged engine to the GT. So basically a GTP lol. I happen to own a modded GTP. I got to race it against my lebaron haha.

I would love to have a GTP as a DD. I thought you were talking about the older Grand Prix 1997-2003. Good Kill then, those cars are pretty quick with the eaton Supercharger bolted to them. So what have you done to the GTP and has it been pretty reliable?

Mods: ZZP 3.4 S/C Pulley, DHP PCM, 1.9 Roller Rockers, Wizaired Intake,3" DP/No cat, U-bend/Res, 180 T-stat

Dyno'd at 240/320 before I added the rockers and downpipe. It has had zero problems and I drive it pretty hard. Almost at 150k too.

Still looks pretty good too:

Man these cars just lay down the torque! I want one as a DD!

I've seen your GTP Ken, I love the GTX package you've done to it!

She'll roast them from a 20+ mph roll. Not bad fore a 3700 lb 4 door family car.

guy at work has a GTP. He wants to go up against my NY which ran 14.3 on street tires. Ken is that 13 second ET with slicks??? I might have some problems with him on the current setup. But with the 89 T2 forged piston motor I've got for it, a smec, MP Plus turbo, and a custom cal I'm hoping to dispose of him easily since he doesn't believe "That NY" is faster than his beloved GTP.

I know ther is KR... look at the torque v/s hp difference. But it was the wife's DD and I wasn't allowed to touch it (much). The car falls on it's face up top. My 14 psi '88 Shelby Z would run Neck and neck with it at freeway speeds. The X would just slightly pull on it.

Ran 14.9's-15.1's stock. The GTX package got it to 14.6's consistantly. She runs 14.1-14.2 consistantly. If I let it cool down for an hour or so, then she runs better.

The runs were on street tires. Average 60' was 2.10-2.15. Best I managed was a 2.06. They hook pretty well.

The wife is getting a Solstice GXP for a summer driver so I'll do a few more things to the X. Alchy injection would be nice.

Alchy injection would be nice.Man it would be alot quicker if you threw on a 3" downpipe, nice FWI intake, and a DHP PCM (or get a tuner if you know what to do). Also 1.9 rockers are a really nice mod too. Be alot faster with those and probably have little to no kr.

Thanks.. I'll look into that. What about extra fuel? what's the best way?? Nice now. Cruising at 75-80 it gets 29.5mpg on the flats.
