91 efi to turbo swap ?

i got the engine harness out do you need anyother part of the harness like for fuel pump or anything else ? thanks have to get rid of the parts car thats why i need info :thumb:

ok i did that swap befor the fuel pump is the same in the 91 cars so that fine its all under hood compoinets the map sensors are diffternt ,the computer and harnessesin a nut shell just swap out the harnes computer and mapsensors. drop in the enigne hook up the fule lines and you should be good to go. aslong as your doner car is the same year and model if not its just alota slpicing but thats how i did it and i figured it out with the help of good wiring diagrams

If you have any questions once you get down into the dirty work you can send me a pm. Converted my 92 NA shadow to a 2.2 88 turbo. Now its a 2.5 89 common block turbo.

yea there both 91

on all 90+ cars atcualy
100% positive 2 reasons
1) i did the swap and i did not swap out the fuel pump on my tbi tona
2) i checked the part numbers for a tbi pump and a turbo pump same number




1990 was the first year for the v-6 and it proably needed a slightly bigger pump than the tbi engine. so proably to save cost they just put the turbo pumpm in all the cars instread of needing to have 2 diffrent pumpms made.

then it should be a lot easier then switching that charger from a carb car to a smec turbo car :evil:
