I just got a wideband setup from WBo2.

2j1 controller (http://wbo2.com/2j/default.htm)

DIY LD02 display (http://wbo2.com/ld02/kit.htm)

but i forgot to get a datalogging cable:

now i was thinking.....instad i could run a standard non cross over network cable to my LD02 reprogramaing adaptor

http://wbo2.com/ld02/im/progsch.gifhttp://wbo2.com/ld02/im/232adapts.jpg

instead of going computer>adapter>LD02
I would go 2j1>splitter>network cable>adapter>computer

should this work or should i just order the right cable from them?

all the connections look right to me, all the pins match up, i just want to be sure im thinking strait

it should work. it looks like you have to use a standard RJ45 cable to go from the adapter to the unit anyway.

I just use a standard RJ45 cable with the end lopped off sent to a serial connector anyway.

does he round gage have a connector on the back? on the LD02 the cable is soldered directly to the board

No connector on back, it has a cable with an RJ end.
