I finally had my first races with my white Spirit R/T since I got it up and running a couple months ago.
My girlfriend and I were driving back to her apartment and ran into a couple of EVOs. Clearly neither EVO drivers had any idea what a Spirit R/T is.. :eyebrows:
So, with much egging on from my girlfriend, I let the blow off valve go to get their attention. It took a little coaxing but finally got one of them to bite. I just have to laugh a little because the one EVO had plates that read "EVIL IX" .. and he got shown up. :nod:
They both needed a lesson on racing from a roll on the highway .. as it was impossible to get them to slow down, honk appropriately, or not end up being complete morons and doing a ricer flyby. After attempting to race (and I say attempting because he had no idea what he was doing) EVIL IX, the black EVO came flying up behind us. He even got a head start. If he hadn't been in a lane with cars in front of him (and thus having to slam on his brakes), we would have had a few cars on him by fourth gear. :thumb:
Neither of them wanted to stop and talk, so I don't even know if they were stock or not. I imagine that, even if they weren't, they probably wouldn't want to tell me. I'm going to keep my eye on the local DSM boards and see if any "WHAT THE HELL KIND OF CAR WAS THAT?" threads pop up... :nod: :thumb:
