Out of curiosity, how hard would it be to add a spell check feature that could be used when posting?

Its not something I want to tackle. In addition, I think most of the options are browser side anyway. I know the new Firefox has it built in while IE is a download plug in.

Didn't we use to have it? I swear I've used it before. I did notice it was gone though :( It helps the spelling challenged like me.

I don't know, it worked right off the bat when I installed the latest version recently.

I forgot what IE was when I found Firefox.

Thanks for the quick answer Frank. I didn't know how big of a deal it would be. If there's a plugin for IE7, I'll just download that to use myself. The main reason I was asking though is that I've seen a few posts recently that were borderline unreadable due to spelling and sentence structure. It's kind of frusterating when you want to jump in and help somebody with a problem but have a hard time figuring out what is going on exactly due to being unable to read the post. Oh well, I'll live.:)

Internet Explorer users will have a spell check button in the editor toolbar http://www.turbo-mopar.com/forums/images/editor/spelling.gif which uses the IE Spell program. If they do not have this installed, then they will be prompted to install it the first time that they use it.

^ That must be what I am thinking of. I am now on FireFox most the day at work. Where I used to have IE...

I use firefox at home and IE at work, but prefer firefox, it's integrated spellcheck is great.

Unfortunately I think the people who need to use spellcheck the most really don't care about the issue. It's those of us that try to read their posts that need some kind of translation filter or something.

Exactly!
I hate trying to point it out to them because it always feels like an attempt at public humiliation. In reality, I'm just trying to make it easier on myself and others to help them.
I feel like a hypocrite even bringing this up because I'm sure a person could go through my posts and fill a page with examples of mispelling, bad grammer and questionable sentence structure. I hope most of it at least reads fairly easy. If not, somebody please point it out so I can fix my mistakes.:)

Sorry! Geesh:lol:
I need to update my firefox or get the plug in since I have to proofread everything due to sticky keys on my keyboard.
