Went racing today, managed to make 11 passes in 3 hours. :eyebrows: I came in and raced just as I drove it off the street with my street tires.

I managed to lay down a 15.10 at 89mph running 12.5psi-13psi. I cut a 2.198 60' with 32psi up front, 37psi out back.

I'm not saddened but not overjoyed either. I wanted to dip into the 14's but the night just kept getting worse. I did the 15.10 on my 6th pass, so you can imagine how frustrated I was getting. I tried lowering the front tires to 25psi but that made it for more worse. Suprisingly I was able to cut my 2.1 60' comiong out at 3,500 RPMs.

Not too bad for a fat van with low boost.

Hey thats pretty good. I would be happy if my van did that on 13 PSI. These things are pigs compared to the other TM's. So, next time, add some boost and get your 14 sec. pass. I bet it would do it with another 2 PSI.

Me....im going for the nitrous on mine.

Thanks. I'm still having trouble with this turbo. It still spikes and falls and spikes. I'm just at such a low boost I hadn't notice it until last night when I was adjusting the boost. I can get it as close to cutout as possible then back it down a hair and only be at 13psi at most.

Nitrous would be fun but I'd be scared using that with meth/water injection.

Do you think with my new setup it's possible for 12's? I'd be happy for low 13's, but I know once I'm there I'm gonna want 12's.

With some serious tuning, ported head and traction, you SHOULD be able to do it. I had the setup, just not th etune. Also, your van is like mine, fully loaded, makes it alot harder.

You'll get there Bryan, at 13# that turbo isn't even woke up yet.
Were you using the meth injection?
It shouldn't be needed at 12-13# on an intercooled engine, no real gains, and actually slowing you down some.

D42 looked dead on their race cam, I actually thought I saw you pull up to the line, one of the first few to runs of the evening.

but that made it for more worse. lollers :P

15.1@89 is a good time for a van with so little track time. im sure itll drop steadily in the coming months :)

I agree that you should be pumped about that time in a full weight van with that low of boost. It is good to set your sights high, but you really need to be realistic and stay focused. 12s won't happen over night. I look at working on my cars just like I work on my body, every day it gets a little better, and eventually I will surpass and make new goals.

If you don't mind could you post the 1/8th mile times and speed? Just want something to compare to mine if the track here ever opens again.

Of course. 9.627@71.76 on the 15.1 pass.

Thanks. :) It took about 6 times to get it right. The first race I came out like I do on the street, at 2,700, obviously it wasnt enough. So after the 5th race I decided to come out like I'm on slicks. Dragway 42 has come a lonnnng way, I couldn't believe I hooked that nice on all street.

I don't have the meth injection yet. Ordering that tomorrow along with a bunch of other things from Turbos Unleashed. :thumb:

Like I said, I got 11 passes in 3 hours.

Cordes, I'm trying to set one goal at a time and accomplish one thing after another. I seriously doubt I'll go that fast on an 8V engine. 13's I know is almost inevitable with how I'm going. I wont strip it of any interior or luxeries, that's my biggest disadvantage.

Thanks everyone for your compliments.
