Looking for someone who can rebuild a vortech charger. Someone somewhat local to Baltimore, DC, and northern VA.

I know a guy I could ask for you. Or I could get ya the info to do it yourself, part #s and suppliers etc..
What model and what's it doing wrong?

It's a 4CD218-038SQ. It's leaking engine oil into the air flow and sounds like it might have a bad bearing.

Gotcha, V2 SQ S trim, nice unit! I sent an email to my buddy Jay about places "local" to you. I'll have to dig for the #s but I do have the info for the DIY parts. It's just 4 bearings, 2 seals and a sleeve. 2 bearings have to be pressed on/off.
Out of curiosity, Is it rattling at idle too?

This guy has a better tutorial on rebuilding it than I can give you. He outlines a V1 S trim which is basically the same as yours except you have helical cut gears vs. the V1 straight gears.
The bearing #s he shows at the bottom are good but only rated to 28,000 rpm, If I can find my paperwork I'll get the severe duty #s rated for 55,000 rpm.

Can you post the actual web address, I'm having trouble with pc and just get and open window when I click a link, thanks. As I recall, it was primarily at idle. Not so much a rattle and a whiring, simpler to altenator bearing noise.

My V1 is making the same noise, it's definately a bearing. Excessive gear lash because of the slop in the bearing on the high speed side..
I'll get the file up in a minute, it's PDF. Still waiting to hear from Jay, he still uses a rolodex...

Vortech is the best bet, still haven't heard back from him yet so I dunno if he actually knows anyone or not.

She was an Illinois truck from day one as far as I know. Haven't run a carfax on it yet, gotta renew the account....
