this is kinda hard to explain but its been going on for awhile now. every time i let my car still for an hour or more when it start the idle drops after 30 seconds, not alot but it does. it will drop a few hundred rpms then run a lil rough then smooth back out. what im wondering is whats going after 30 secs. some sensor kicks or what?

O2 sensor kicks on (heats up) and the car is going closed loop... If (from your other thread) you have issues starting it after 30 minutes... Could be from too much fuel. Put a good FI cleaner like Techron through the car..

tried that. plus i only use chevron w/ techron

BTW 4 wire o2 if that matters

It is still waiting for the coolant temp to come up to 70+ (if I remember correctly... ) there is also a timeout feature..

When I lived out west, chevron was all my cars were filled with

It could be leaking injectors. Next time you get it warm, unbolt the fuel rail, leave everything hooked up and lay it to the side on some newspaper. Keep checking on it and watch for fuel leaking out of the nozzles.

Sounds like a dying fuel pump actually. Check fuel pressure at start up.

ok my shelby starts up fine no matter what, but it has the famouse eratic idle. and this only happens after 30 seconds, when it goes into closed loop right? so what else is going on while that happnes that can cause this
