Check out the Knowledge Center or the FAQ's, :D

Isn't the way that it's done in the knowledge center bypass the thermostat? I've seen several different ways to do the number 4 coolant mod. Your car's coolant temp would never warm up especially the larger hose you use.

I'll go have a look but mine was done at the drivers side of the head to the waterpump inlet and worked perfectly, :thumb:

Doesn't that bypass the thermostat though? Does your engine take a long time to warm up?? They say if you drill 1/8'' hole instead of 1/16'' in your thermostat it makes a big difference, well heck a 1/4'' hose should be huge.

Not at all, all this does is promote flow thru the #4 area. Drilling the thermostat is a different operation. I had the stat drilled 1/16 and the coolant mod, it warmed up very fast and temp stayed very steady. Before the mods, the temp guage would move around while driving.
