Has anyone used this brand, or know of someone who has? Seems kinda interesting being waterbased. Some of the colors, candies, pearls etc. are beautiful. Interesting technique too. Apparently there is no reduction needed. I picked up Hot Rod's Paint and Body winter 2005 issue, and they mention using it right out of the bottle. Put it in the gun and shoot. I'm wondering about color fastness. Making me rethink the PPG triple black I already purchased.

most factrory paint has been water based since the peeling paint days...

Manufacturers started developing water based automotive paints to meet with growing EPA standards. Once cured, they have shown to be just as durable as traditional paints.

and with many, they're more resistant to solvents...

I'm gonna have to find some prices on this stuff, I really like some of their colors and the techinques used! would take minimal prep on my cars to repaint with this stuff and looks great too.

Everything I have read about them sounds like they are aewsome..and many come ready to spray, no reducers or hardeners to add. And they can be used for any kind of mild to wild paintwork, canyies, pearls, glitters, shifts, etc. Then you just use any traditional clearcoat over it.

Hunh?????

I use factory paints (PPG) and they are all urethane.

My local PPG doesnt even carry a water based paint.

the guy that does touch up stuff at my work has a brochure. He is gonna do flames on his Avalanche. I think its pretty bad ---. I have never seen it on a car in real life though. I think a big mopar symbol on the hood would be cool.

I used them for airbrushing and I think they are very nice. I like that I can get some funky colors without having to buy big quatities and tonnes of reducers and hardeners like when you use stuff like PPG or House of Kolor.

If your planning to paint a whole car I don't know how they would be. I'm a personal fan of PPG for large stuff. They were designed mainly for air brushing and auotmotive art work. They can be used right out of the bottle but sometimes I like to thin them a bit to get some finer lines.
