Go under the Quick Links menu and tell me which of the two "My Posts" options you like and vote on it!!!

The Beta version basically shows your posts as part of the thread... more benificial because it allows you to see if it is worth diving into the thread to see if it has been updated or not.

I'm a big fan of the original, but really I don't use either.

I wish the User CP was in the top tool bar and not under quick links though. That's pretty much the first thing I go to when I log into a forum.

The 'Beta' version looks a lot like my 'subscribed threads' list... so I guess I like the original.

I wish the User CP was in the top tool bar and not under quick links though. That's pretty much the first thing I go to when I log into a forum.I've just gotten used to clicking on the Private Messages link under my screen name to get to User CP. It does open the PM listing too, but it currently is the only way I've found to get to UCP with only one click, and it does work.

As far as the My Posts feature, I voted for the Beta version. VHS version hasn't come out yet I guess.

Seriously though, it is a feature I've never used. But I like the idea of being able to see all the threads I've replied to (and newer activity in them). If the Beta version is adopted, the convenience of it might sway me to start using the feature.

The User CP is under the 'Quick Links' section... takes some getting used too... or just click on the Private Messages Section.

There are going to be a few new features coming that will be going up on the toolbar. I felt it was in everyone's best interest to get used to the layout now, instead of later when it will get changed to what it is now.

I selected beta, and it seems OK. Of course, it is the only one I have used thus far.

can we have 'all of the above'?

They both have their place

I don't use it too often, but when I am checking for previous posts that I had made, I think the beta version would be most helpful and quicker to locate it!

Here's the way i see it...

'my posts' gives you 'your posts'

'beta' gives you 'your threads'

Look at 'beta' and then at 'subscribed threads' and they will be virtually the same if you have the auto-subscribe on...

My posts (beta) is far superior because it allows you to see if that thread has been updated since you left.

If I had to choose one, then yes, I would choose the beta version vs. the beta fish.

Frank

How is it superior to 'subscribed threads' when it is the same if you are subscribed to them?

Frank

Because not everyone subscribes to threads.... very rarely do I do it... i doubt most do.

I subscribe to threads.

BadAssPerformance

I figured most did, what's the default?

Frank

Not subscribe.

BadAssPerformance
01-25-2006, 10:56 PM
now if that was changed, lol ;)

EDIT: for the record, I guess I really dont care, as long as I can get to the current sequential 'my posts' style even if I have to do it by going to 'posts by badassperformance' thru my profile... as a 100% post subscriber, I use those two and have zero use for the 'beta'.

I subscribe to threads.

Same here. I thought that everyone did.
