I think they do but can't remember. Whats the difference?

they do fit, they are supposedly a hair shorter. And you need to use srt-4 rod bearings.

Excellent, I can just use a thinner head gasket to make up for it,

Has anybody determine wether or not they are as strong as TII/TIII rods?

I think that is the next logical question. I have read of guys using TII rods in 2.4 turbo applications, so is it a case of the grass being greener?

Maybe... but if the SRT-4 rods are stout enough, then they are a cheap alternative to the budget racer with moderate power goals.

The SRT rods don't have the piston squirters in them, though. The SRT-4 block has squirters. So, I wouldn't even consider SRT-4 rods in a 2.2/2.5. Putting T2 rods into an SRT-4, you'd probably want to plug the squirters. Otherwise, too much oil on the cyl walls.

Is that an issue or can it be drilled or other options?

That's a very good point and I'm glad you brought it up. It didn't even cross my mind.
