Nothing compared to Venolias? Why do you say that?

I have yet to hear of a stock T-III forged Mahle fail. I've pushed a full weight Spirit to 12.0 @ 118 and a Shadow (T-III) to 11.6 @ 120 with them with zero problems.

as i have heard there is high silicon content with in the pistons...but so far it seems that they can hold their own:thumb:

Rob......what the heck you got going on in that head of yours? :eyebrows: Stock pistons should handle whatever you're ready to throw at them.

thinking out loud:)

if i was going to port the head i wanted to make sure the pistons could handle it....question is how much is too much on a daily driver:evil:

Pat: are those times on stock top ends ie. no port work and stock turbo??

The guy to beat is 4sfed4, totally stock engine but large IC, SC61 turbo, cal and alky, layed down 500 whp and 500 ft/lbs and did it consistently.

Stock turbo - the best I could get was 12.44 @ 110 in a Spirit. The other runs were with a 50 trim/stage III. No port work.

Larry's car has definitely showed the durabitily of stock T-III pistons. Larry's da man!

Unless you need to bore the block, the stock pistons are definitely the way to go. Plus, this leaves you more money for a bigger turbo! :thumb:
