I need a *90-91* casting ONLY!!!!!!!!first castings

All I have are 95 castings, I need the early casting for my project.
I would prefer a head with at least valves and springs, I can supply the rest. Cracks between cyl 2&3 and core plug material are not a big deal, I plan to have the head fully welded.

I also have a 95 casting head complete(cams, rockers, vc, exhaust mani, lifters, still assembled) minus cam pulleys that I and willing to trade straight up for the bare head.(this head is untested assy, I won it on ebay and set it aside till spring) or I have cash.

PM me with offers. and have pic of the casting date please

What do you mean "95" head. I have a cracked head at work, if it fits the bill, I'd be interested in your deal, :thumb:

on the side of the head between the cam gears should be a casting date, either 91 or 95.. The 95 heads were recasts.

One says "3 15 96 Dunn", my 91 head has a 90 casting date. LMK if that one is ok.

Why do you want a '91 casting? Some kind of performance gain to be had over the re-cast heads?

BTW... I have 2 '91 castings.

the 90-91 heads are the actual Lotus cast heads, they have more *meat* for porting..

Is the '92 and '93 oem heads cast elsewhere? They are production castings and all. How did you find out about the "meat" thing?

I know looking at my production head theres only the year stamped on it, the replacement ones have date codes and "dunn" stamped on them so maybe he's onto something?

As of the late 90's they were still coming to mopar from England, so is it another source? Or are the later ones possibly reworked warranty heads done by the shop in WI that was welding them up for Chrysler?

I don't know if its the DUNN head or the 94/95 heads but, those later heads are thinner castings and don't take kindly to a stage III port job:thumb:

So I'm not taking anymore chances, I'm going with a 90/91 head and be done with it. If this next head can't take being that extensively ported either, then the whole TIII project gets abandoned and the srt-4 will be the new focus.. see if I can give AMS a run for their money;)

Not alot of material for large ports... but there's been a few T-III head porters out there with great results and not breaking through coolant passages. Not sure why you're having this problem.

I have a 91 head complete off a running 120K mile car, for sale as of this am, I am officially building a new motor for the Rampage with a few parts I procured yesterday:thumb: It will be a relief to have matching powerplants in all the TD projects:eyebrows: Send me a pm if you are still looking for a head.

On every other board I post on there is a warning bar that comes up if you are about to post in a thread more than 6 months inactive. Might not be a bad idea to incorporate one here if possible.
