Title says it all.

I know that one from another body style won't work like that from everything I have read, and I don't think that the P body would either. I don't know about the P body one for sure though.

P-body is it's own animal, L-body is it's own animal, everything else should be interchangeable. Except there are changes in '92 that are able to be changed back to the '91 and older wiring. But the P and L body stuff can be "worked* even still. It just depends on how much work you want to do.

Sorry, I thought I put P-body to P-body.

So is a 89 Shadow wiring harness plug and play for a 93 Shadow?

I don't mean to read into other's posts, but he said no.

If there are changes in 92' that allow it to be worked back into other years, then I would think that a 93' harness would be a no go in an 89.

Gotcha, I saw the L body thing and zoned out,

First hand knowledge I can say no. The under dash connectors are different sizes. Even the pins to go into the connectors are differnt size. I've been to this movie 3 times now on the same car.

If you do make the 89 harness work, you'll have to change to an earlier style A/C compressor as well. The 93 comp. has an extra plug on the rear of it that the earlier ones don't.

The '93 A/C will work with the '89 harness. I have over 10 vehicles working with the '89 electronics with '93+ R134 A/C. I personally have 2 '89 turbo LeBarons, and a '89 turbo van setup this way. The only additional wiring is the high pressure cut out switch on the compressor. (tapped into the line on the vans)

My 93 shadow has the switch on the compressor, which my 89 Lebaron GTS compressor didn't have. I know the type of freon doesn't matter.:thumb:

That is a high pressure cut out switch as R134A runs at a higher pressure so its an added safety feature.

My mistake then.:o I was under the assumption all later style A/C systems had those switches in them. :thumb:

will a N/A dash harness work for a Turbo dash harness? 5 speed equipped... Anyone know?

The dash harnesses are not a problem. I have a N/A car I converted to turbo, and it was scary easy. (I thought it was going to be a problem I missed) '89 should work in a '91. '92 is when the changes start.......
