What exactly needs to be done to a daytona rad/intercooler assembly to fit in an 86 Shelby Charger?? I have heard that it isn't a direct fit.
Is this because the daytona rad is slightly bigger than a GLHS one?
Then in theory couldn't I just get a smaller recore done to a daytona rad so it will fit?
thanks

It's not just the core dimensions, the mounts themselves are also differently spaced. I don't believe any of it is terribly hard to mock up though. I haven't done the swap, but I know 86Shelby has. One other thing: If you wish to retain your heater, you'll have to either have a nipple brazed on to the radiator where the factory one is (the Daytona rad doesn't have one), or switch to a non-Lbody water pump housing and route the heater hose down there.
