Dean,

It is my understanding that the NA bearings are softer and will fail under turbo loads. When I started researching the 2.4 buildup that is what was posted over at neons.org. I don't know if it is true or not. The easiest way is probably to ask for a part number on a stratus 2.4 bearing and a srt4 bearing. If they're the same.... you have your answer.

Oh, and if you are using 2.4 rods... use 2.4 rod bearings. If you are using 2.5 rods, use 2.5 rod bearings.

yeah the SRT bearing is harder than the NA bearing. clevite also specs two different bearings for all the applications (2.2/2.5, 2.4 and 2.4 SRT). with clevite, i think the performance (ie harder) bearings have a "H" in the part number iirc. (edited cause I got it backwards :))

my machine shop as well as people on here said they have no probs using the P bearings(P= passenger car) and H= high performance.
Cleviete
Main Bearings - MS-2246H and MS-2246P
Rod Bearings - CB-1813H and CB-1813P

P series are suggested for up to 350 hp and H series for wilder

now they do show diff main bearings for the srt4 and reg 2.4(not sure why) but people use the srt's in the older 2.4's

Thanks I guess I'll be ordering them then. I got the parts guy at my dealer to look em up and PT turbo and N/A used the same bearing in 05

Rod Bearings - CB-1813H and CB-1813P

Are those the 2.4 bearings or the 2.2/2.5?
