91 Shadow Alt Wiring Question

The "harness" piece for the alt that has the 2 field wires, "+", and "-" wires has got a broken eye for the field. I was going to cut the wire before the black plastic block and put a new eye on it. My question is does it matter which one goes to which field terminal? One wire is blue and the other is black or green. Either way they are smaller gauge than the power and ground. My intention is to continue to use the block for the other connectors. Thanks in advance for any help someone can provide.:thumb:

It is my understanding that it does not matter where each field terminal goes. I think I must be right too since I could not have put them back in the right spot by chance so many times on the omni without a problem.
