Okay I need to know if I can use a TI top half including exhaust manifold on a T2 2 piece intake??? Are there runner clearance issues when combining the two??

Thanks,
-Bryan

What he is asking is this:
We have a T1 exhaust manifold
and a T2 intake setup
will they fit on the head together or is the T2 exhaust differant ??

Thanks
Chuck

87+ TII exhaust manifold = 88+ TI exhaust manifold.

No matter what, a little work with an angle grinder will solve the problem in a couple of minutes. www.thedodgegarage.com has a how to on this with the pictures needed.

 He said Upchuck...

As far as the orignial question goes, the 88 and newer turbo TI, TII, TIV maniflds are all the same (other than the nickel content and different stud setup on the VNT piece).

The only exhaust manifold that would require grinding to fit is the 84-87 turbo I.

Ahh just a bit of info. All exhaust manifolds from 87 up had the notch. No reason to cast 2 manifolds in 87 so they all had the notch. Found that out searching J-yard cars. It's on my 87 T1 New Yorker I just picked up as well. The turbo isn't but the manifold is. :)

+1 for 87 up manifolds being notched, every 87 TI I have seen (3 of them) has the notched manifold.
