Doing a manual trans conversion on 89 lebaron convertible w/turbo-I motor. the car already has 4 wheel disc and I assume it has the larger (24mm) master cylinder.
Are there any simple front brake upgrades I can do using factory parts? larger caliper, larger brake rotor?

What size are the front brake rotors? If 11 inch, then all you can do is buy drilled/slotted rotors, use better pads IE Carbon, Hawk, EBC, get braided lines, bigger MC.

If 10 inch, you can upgrade to the 11 inch but you need a 90 and older knuckle, calipers and rotors of course.

carbon fiber pads, braided flex hoses and DOT4 synthetic fluid

the stock heavy shelby daytona w/ the 11" brakes was rated to do 60-0 in 125 feet. compare that to a brand new vette, porsche, etc doing it in about 110! not bad for the day!

Got the front end apart and confirmed it has 10" front discs. also found out some has swapped master cylinders, so the car has the smaller (21mm) unit on it.

what vehicles do I look for that came with 11" front disc?

90 and older Shelby's had the 11 inch package, just look for the knuckle that has the brake caliper brackets that are not detachable.

The other option if you have a dual pivot swingarm is upgrade to the cast control arm and find a 91 and up GTC or R/T and take the knuckle, caliper and brackets and even the control arm.

i would think all 89+ 4 wheel disc cars would have the 24mm m/c. a much easier source is most caravans and dynastys. just look for the 4 embossed on the aluminum, obviously.

the 91+ system is very nice. the rt system is basically the same deal except that it uses a bolt on bracket for the caliper instead of it being part of the knuckle. also, the 91+ knuckles changed the steering geometry, so you need the 91+ cast a-arms to compensate.
