Yup, the car was there last year at this time; it's white. The head has been removed.

I doubt you would have liked thier shipping prices anyway. They wanted over $150 to ship the head to Lincoln with a 2 week shipping time estimate. North Platte is a 225 mile, 3 hour drive down the interstate.

They are extremely organized. They have a good idea of the value of thier parts, which for that car were on the high side of the fair market value. They will not let you pull your own parts, let alone let you into the yard. They really didn't want to let me take a look at the car while I was there, even with an escort.

So was it safe to assume the car had been stripped and did you 86shelby get the head off it? I contacted them couple of times to see what was left of the car but they were not very helpful.

Trans still there
underhood wiring
computer
just to name a few items

When I was there last year in January the car was very complete. The only thing missing was the head and valve covers. The interior was complete, worn and dirty, but would have been presentable with some good cleaning. I don't know what shape it's in now as I haven't been out that way since then.

Probably the shortblock is all rusted up... but still a T-III shortblock with everything attatched (sensors and wiring and accessories) Especially the 568.

They wouldn't include the cam sensor when I bought the head. Even offered a few extra bucks for the cam sensor. They said they don't sell sensors; that's what parts stores are for. You might have some luck if buying the wiring harness though...

I don't understand what's with that. If I buy a bad sensor at a junk yard I now own a bad sensor. I also ran into a yard that wouldnt sell any kind of valve. So even though they had quite a few DSM cars they wouldn't sell me a BOV.

You need to tell them you want it as a core... no warranty whatsoever. Tell them if it is no good, I won't bring it back. Works and you also get a cheaper price on things including engines and trannies.

Yep, there aholes, I tried to explain all they had to do was put it on a crate, I would pay for it and have it shipped, they wouldn't have to do a thing, he wouldn't listen at all and basically told me to f#ck off.

That's the point I was trying to make, I didn't want any warranty and they still wouldn't sell me a sensor or valve. Different place but same deal.

sounds like the motor might still be in the car, has anyone just tried to buy the car outright?

They won't sell it, or any vehicle they have there, whole.

Idea #2. Show up with a Chevrolet pickup packing 350 cubes. Dress in black and wear an "Intimidator #3" T-shirt. Prior to showing up, try wrastlin' some sheep or pigs and have your buddy knock out a few of your teeth. That should do it.

Basically...come off as a circle jerk.

dont forget to give the dogs some xanax, works for screaming kids on a plane, big enough dose in some snausages should take care of the rotwilers
