I was driving home from lunch with my parents yesterday, and I saw in a used car dealers lot way in the back under a tree, a red 1989 dodge daytona shelby, 5spd turbo II t-top car, the body was really strait and most of the paint is orginal, the paint is getting tired from the FL sun. the interior was in overall good shape, need less to say I baught it without even driving it, got it home did alittle work on it and it runs great, and by the way it only got 78k on it and carfax backs that up as well. I opened the glove box to find all the orginal books and the window sticker, this is a very rust free car, the orginal ship to dealer was in ocala FL, and by the way I got this car very reasonable, here are some pics of it http://photos.yahoo.com/firehawk9311 its listed under 89 shelby daytona in my album.

VERY SWEET:thumb:

Original unmolested TD's are getting rarer, it gives us all hope when we see there are still a few left to be scored like that! I'm pretty sure 90% of the folks on this list would buy that car for the deal you got:eyebrows:

That would be a nice one to restore, definitely. I picked one up just like that one a year or so ago except it had the dark charcoal leather interior, and factory 1/4 window louvers :eyebrows: That thing was loaded, but too rusty to even bother to fix. :( :(

What's with the neon yellow stripe on this GLHS? Also, I recognize that mini van from when it was sitting in my driveway broken down. :D

the GLHS used to be my friends and it was very nice, now the guy that has it uses it to drive every day and theres no back seats or interior pannels, he uses it for a parts hauler, and when he spray bombed the yellow I had to take a pic because I remember when it actually looked good, (its not mine at all) I would never do that to a true GLHS

Here's what the 87 GLHS looked like before I sold it to that guy. The only reason I sold the GLHS was to fund my supercharger project on my Mustang. I also just sold CSX-T #671 to him too. Hope he doesn't do that to that car too.

That car looked good. It's a shame he ruined it.

I think that's the CSX-T I used to own. It was a pretty decent car when I had it. It was rough around the edges but it would have looked nice with a new interior and paint.
