Looks good to me! Whats the gauge for?

Russ Jerome

Mechanical gauge to dial in my oil restrictor, low oil pressure sender is in
same socket for indicator in car should pressure drop.

Is there a "how to" for the DOHC 2.4 head on a 2.5 block? Something listing all the bits and pieces and all the modifications and custom parts needed?

Is it the pic...or is it me? That ain't no stinkin' 52mm tb!?

Russ, can you explain the oil pressure guage for your restrictor for me a little better?

Russ Jerome

The brass monster g-valve looking thing is a spring loaded flow
control valve on left, common in power units like liftgates or any
application needing to control flow. This keeps no more oil in head
than needed (stock srt4 is high teens/ low 20psi area depending on
oil temp). The gauge simply lets you monitor how much pressure
is in head while adjusting the "g-valve" style flow control.

After that whole setup was in car I tied the factory low oil pressure
sender into gauge area, can drive care free knowing there is a
good supply of oil to cams yet not so much the dual return hoses
are not maxxed out with drainback oil. Work's sweet.

i would like to know more as well:D
do you run your turbo feed off there as well?? and if so, are you able to adjust for both? or would it even be necessary?

sorry typed while you posted..
i didnt think about overworking the returns....

The TB is a common late model Ford 64mm unit seen on
everything from v-6 Rangers to Muskrats with v-8's.

New ride is probably gonna get a GM CFI TB like the one
on the custom Nissan intake on my site, 70-something
MM.

The turbo is fed full pressure like stock but added a dedicated
in line spin on oil filter, insure's no debri sneak's thru.

Is this a PT/SRT cam position sensor? How does it intregrate with your electronics?

Russ Jerome
02-20-2006, 08:13 PM
It doesnt, just to lazy to cut a piece of aluminum to use
as blockoff plate :) Beside the plastic sensor was lighter :o
