Section 9.1 Turbo-Mopar Terms
DC = Direct Connection
FS = For Sale
MP = Mopar Performance
SC = Shelby Charger; Super Charged
T1 = Turbo 1 Engine (2.2 L, Mitsu Turbo)
T2 = Turbo 2 Engine
T3 = Turbo 3 Engine
T4 / TIV = Turbo 4 Engine
TD = Turbo Dodge
SD = Shelby Dodge
'S' Car = '86 Omni GLHS -AND/OR- '87 GLHS
SL = Shelby Lancer
Whittier Vehicles = The limited production, numbered models of TD's that came out of Carroll Shelby's Whittier plant in California. Suspension mods, engine mods, and exterior appearance mods were given to these vehicles. Vehicle list includes 1986 Omni GLHS, 1987 Charger GLHS, 1987 CSX, 1987 Shelby Lancer, 1988 CSX-T, 1989 CSX, 1989 Shelby Dakota.

T1, TI = Turbo I, 84-87 turbo engines with Garrett turbo and 87 later non intercooled with Mitsubishi turbo 2.2L or 2.5L
T2, TII= turbo 2, factory intercooled 2.2L w/Garrett turbo
T3, TIII= turbo 3, 16v factory 2.2L with Lotus head w/Garrett Turbo. Found in Spirit R/ts and Daytona Iroc R/ts
CTD, Cummins= Factory trucks with Cummins turbo diesel engine. Holset turbo.
VNT = Varible Nozzle turbo found on CSX-VNT
TC = Chrysler by Maserati, 16v motor with Maserati designed head

INJECTORS

SENSORS
AIS - automatic idle sensor
TPS - throttle position sensor
IAT - intake air temperature
CTS - coolant temperature sensor
HEP - hall effect pickup
ASD -auto shut down
AFPR - adjustable fuel pressure regulator
MAP - manifold absolute pressure
MAF - mass air flow, sensor not used on our cars
SV - swing valve - goes between the exhaust housing and the down pipe
WG - Waste gate - the flapper arm
WGA - Waste gate acuator - boost controlled actuator that opens the waste gate, located on top of the turbo
DP - Down pipe
TB - throttle body
BOV - blow off valve - releases pressure from the intake hoses and intercooler when the throttle blade closes
RFL - really freakin loud, BOV
IC - intercooler - runs in line between the turbo and throttle body to cool the air
FMIC - fromt mount intercooler
CAI - cold air intake
G-valve - a simple manual boost controller
MBC - manual boost controller
D-valve - a valve in your intake that allows you to bypass the turbo while not in boost. this results in better off boost power and quicker spool up.
D-cal - tuning program for custom engine computers, built for the SMEC
chem - tuning program for custom engine computers, built for the 87 t2 LM
LM - logic module, engine control module for 87- cars
PM - personal message OR power module, works with the LM
SMEC - single module engine control - engine computer on 88-90? cars
SBEC - single board engine control - engine control on 90-92 cars
SBECII - used on 93+ cars, kinda rare and unknown
SLH - stop like hell - brake upgrades available in 3? levels
782 - swirl head used on 86+ cars
287 - G AKA bathtub head used on 85- cars
CB - common block - 89+ block used on all 2.2 and 2.5 engine, superior in strength
OSJ - oversized journal, the journals for the cam are larger than normal
TS - tapered shroud, stamped on turbo heads and some n/a heads, reduces detonation
EGR - exhaust gas recirculation
EGT - exhaust gas temperature

correction - in '87 the last 1000 Shelby Chargers were made into the '87 GLHS
