posting pics in the gallery

Does anyone have any idea why I can't seem to upload a pic in the gallery right now? I have tried to upload some pics of myself for the friday photo thread for the past two days, and I just can't seem to get them up there.

I am running firefox if that makes a difference.

Firefox just goes to a blank white page after it tries to upload the pics. IE gives this message.

How big are the files?

about 130-140K each.

Ok, I just realized that they are freaking huge, so I will try and resize them and give that a go.

OK, resizing them makes them work. Thanks for guiding me through it. I feel dumb now.

It isnt obvious though. Alot of people's programs have a habit of leaving original size, just turning down the quality.
