Take a Dremel tool and cut a slot across the head and then use a screwdriver.

Or drill a hole in the screw head and use an easy out.

radio nut socket C4537 from Miller Tool PH:800-801-5420 cost 29.00 plus shipping I have one of these and they work on the tapered head 3 slot screw that holds some radios in on Mopars. Maybe there is another source that's cheaper.

Does it look like a star???? It may be a torqued. Find them anywhere at any hardware store.

try going to a local performance shop, or circuit city. get in there, make small talk and see what they'd use. they've got the tools and know-how to do just about anything for stereos.

i had problems w/ an mk1 rabbit, creative car tunes (local perf shop) told me how to put one in for about $5, and it looked nice too.

Good advice there. :)
