Now that the weather is a little cooler in Florida 60-70,I've had the oppertunity to make some good street kills! A 04 Bmw 323 ,Ilet him get a Jump on me to make it more fun than just shot him down! He tryed about 3 times all the way to 130.No luck!He just gave the head nod .Next was a G35 Infinity ,I rolled up behind him at about 80 or so he floors it and I roll past him at 110 or so and he would not even look over at me when I slowed. The latest was a Colbalt SS (I thought these were fast )might of been the driver  I'm impressed with the pull these cars have in the top end charge, they just don't give up! it' fun to watch the speedo just sweep like it was a tach.Dave

This is Rattlesnake, or "white brick". That's how the croud at Summit Point Raceway named it after witnessing how a boxy paint pealing Mopar was passing GTOs, Porsche Carrera, WRX, Mustangs and BMW M3 on the 1/2 mile straight of the road course.

Here's the story of when I bought it. One of my old friends works at this hole in the wall used car lot and I stopped in to see him one saturday looking for a td .This place is known for screwing people .Well they pick the r/t up for $200 at a small school auction That sells donated cars after they pulled one of the injecter wires off.So my friend comes over after work to tell me that they found me a turbo car. he say's "it's a 91 stratus turbo with a red engine,(doh somthing or other on the door") . You don't say? He tells me how much they got it for and to go look at it.When I get there the next morning the owners son thinks he's screwing me for $600 but I'm just keeping my mouth shut as he is giggling under his breath. This thing rips, about 4000 in 1st&2nd it just blows the tires away!! Dave.

During that event I had Stock struts and shocks with Eibach springs and a 16mm rear swaybar. I upgraded to Koni adjustables all around and a very rigid 23mm rear swaybar. I haven't tried yet with this set up yet on the track but inthe street I could drift the car at higher speeds through the twisty roads around my house, the car is more predictible. I installed a wing in the back to try to keep it on the ground at a particular section of that track. If I go full throttle through it the car goes airborne, I almost crashed the first time through it. So I apologize if it gives it a rice look but if it does the job I will replace it with a Nascar style spoiler(a real one). http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/11/web/491000-491999/491208_120_full.jpg

Nice, guys. Rattle snake, your excused, lol! as you really drive it on the track, not to the parking lot to brag about how the wing keeps the Honda from going airborne, ;)

The more I read about TIII engines, the more I want one in my van. Just need to find a deal like alot of people keep doing, cheap, so I can finish sourcing parts.

To be honest, I',m scared to death of somthing happening to it as parts are not availble in large supply.( But it does not stop me from beating on it!!!!)If I was you I'd put together a nice 2.4. From checking other fourms the 2.4 WILL bolt up tp the older trans only missing 1 bolt. and just run the dist off the cam.(I know you know all this but someone might not & it's good info.) Dave

I agree to disagree. I will be using my 2.5L bottom end, so no biggie there. The heads are ok, once fixed or not cracked. Nothing can go wrong with the manifolds so that leaves cams-which can be reground, and rocker arms which can be bought new. I want A/C and to do it on the 2.4L head, would be a royal PITA, so right now, I am 70/30 leaning towards Lotus head.

If you swap the whole 2.4 ,you can use the 2.4 a/c comp?

True but swapping the 2.4 isn't going to happen. Its either a 2.5 TIII or a 2.5 Neon head.

What kind of cal are you running on your 2.5? I have a 2.5 TIII in my IROC R/T and have held off on "pulling the trigger" in a big way on mine as I'm running the stock computer that has WAY too much advance. Don't want to blow it up.

I Have a T1 with 2bar map with some programming done by Relentless Racing(more fuel on top end and more aggressive timming on midrange). I installed a piggyback system by modern performance and also 72pph injectors and a fuel pressure raiser. With all this I add or take away fuel wherever I need to.
